You can find St George’s Church on Durham Road, by The Shipley Art Gallery and the Gateshead War Memorial.
Cycling or Driving to St. George’s
Bike parking is available on site. There’s a great share bike scheme in the area called mobike that lets you hire bikes using just your mobile phone. You can park the bikes outside the church building as it is in the Newcastle-Gateshead operating area.
Car parking is available on the streets around St George’s and on Prince Consort Road. If you’re using a sat-nav our postcode is NE8 4AJ.
Getting to St. George’s by Public Transport
By Bus: Go NorthEast operate regular bus services that stop outside our church centre. You can catch the 1 and 1A from either Newcastle Monument or Gateshead Interchange. The 21 leaves from Newcastle Eldon Square or Gateshead Interchange.
By Metro: The church is between 15-20 minutes walk from Gateshead Interchange. Leaving the interchange follow High Street West, which then becomes Durham Road. The church is on the left hand side of the road, opposite the war memorial.
