Everything we do at St George’s involves people giving their time and money.
WHY DO WE GIVE?
Being generous with our money is part of our lives as disciples. By giving money away, we give back to God what he has given to us – we give Him thanks and we say that He is even more important than money.
Giving money to our church community supports everything we do; it is the generosity of the church family that enables us to pursue our vision of seeing our community Come Alive.
HOW DO I GIVE?
You can give by cash, cheque, contactless, apple pay, or directly into our bank account using the reference ‘giving’.
To set up a standing order or give St. George’s a gift please use the following details:
Account Name: St Georges PCC
Account Number: 00030671
Sort Code: 40-52-40
Each year we ask everyone at St George’s to review their giving and commit again, or for the first time, even if the amount you are giving remains the same. Reviewing our giving intentionally enables us to pledge what we have decided in our hearts to give (2 Corinthians 9v7).
You can make your pledge online here.
How to Gift Aid your giving
By consenting to allow us to claim Gift Aid on your giving we’re able to boost your donations by an additional 25%. For every £1 you give, we are able to claim back 25p from HMRC. This is of huge benefit to our church finances and is a very simple process – you give your consent and we do the rest. If you are able to Gift Aid your giving, please fill out our Gift Aid Declaration form.
Occasionally we hold special giving events for projects we are running or supporting.
If you’re giving to one of these, please use the appeal name as the reference.
