Discipleship Under Pressure

This week we continued our series ‘All Things New’ and Rich shared from 2 Corinthians 4: 1-13. We explored how we can live well when the pressure is on. We need to look to Jesus – hold on to the one who spoke into the darkness, light. Embrace fragility – we must choose to acknowledge our weakness, and allow all surpassing power of God to shine through. Live the cross – when the pressure reveals the difficult things in our lives, take them to the cross.
“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body” 2 Corinthians 4: 7-10
What does it mean for us to keep on following Jesus when the pressure is on?
