Purpose: GROW

Louise kicks off our vision series looking at purpose. This week we learnt about our call to Grow as disciples, how in order to grow we must remain close to God and that as a community we can bear fruit together.
Worship Suggestion:
Listen to Confident by Steffany Gretzinger and share honestly about how you find being confident in God and in His faithfulness and what helps you come back to that place, where possible using examples from the song.
Group Questions:
1. Re-read through John 15:1-10 and share a bit about your thoughts/experiences on pruning, share some stories about times you’ve seen God prune things to make them flourish and avoid them cracking or splitting.
2. The Fruit that the Spirit promises us when we remain in Him is love, joy, peace, forbearance(patience), kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. What are the things that get in the way, that may cause us to overload our lives or weigh us down?
3. To become strong enough to bare such fruit, we must remain in Him. Doing it ourselves in our own strength causes frustration and burnout, but in Him, by reading our bibles, praying and being in community, we can grow and flourish. Share about how easy you find these practices and how you can grow in them to allow God to work in and through you and your community.
Prayer/Application:
Spend some time praying for each other to know how to rest in the knowledge that when God is pruning, He knows better, and that we’d all experience seasons of fruitfulness over the next few months as we unpack this all together.
